Quality Inspector

 

As a Quality Inspector with Weld Inspection Experience, you will be a vital part of our AWC manufacturing team, ensuring the highest standards of quality control and inspection. Your core skills in manufacturing, quality control, and analysis will be essential in conducting thorough inspections and maintaining quality assurance. Your premium skill in quality management will enable you to lead quality improvement initiatives effectively. Additionally, your relevant skills in using calipers and data collection tools will support accurate measurements and data analysis. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional inspections and weld inspections
  • Operate portable CMM equipment and complete reports
  • Complete quality documentation (PPAP's, MTR's) and other reports as required
  • Work with team members to troubleshoot errors throughout build
  • Conduct source inspections & in-house inspections on critical jobs
  • Maintain the ISO 90001 certification through audits and reporting
  • Create non-conformance forms and provide information in a timely manner to produce monthly reports and assist in the implementation of remedial actions and timely closure of Defect Notices

Qualifications

  • Portable CMM equipment experience (FARO equipment an asset)
  • CWB/AWS/ASME Level 1 Inspector Certification an asset
  • Completion of quality related courses/certificates required
  • Understanding of statistical processes
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite/Autocad/Solidworks

Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour

 

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Stratford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • portable CMM equipment: 1 year (preferred)
  • PPAP: 2 years (preferred)
  • MTR: 2 years (preferred)
  • Weldment Inspection: 3 years (preferred)
